| The 11th October was International Day of the Girl. Plan International asked that on that day those in a position of power, tear down the barriers that stand in the way of girls realising their rights. They have been urged to use their influence to achieve the promises of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), also known as the Global Goals, which help ensure girls are not left behind and can enjoy true gender justice. On the same day Plan launched the world’s biggest data tracker for girls, with the aim of counting every girl on the planet by 2030. |  |
