Ivan Yates has returned to the Irish screen with a fast paced sports and entertainment show.
Ivan is joined by Paddy Power, the impressionist Conor Moore and Niamh Kinsella. Each week will see a different celebrity guest, join the team and take an alternative look at the big sporting news of the week. There will certainly be some fun and games on the show. The show will be aired on Virgin Media One, Friday nights at 9pm. The new season "Late Late Show" returned last Friday night with the fabulous Ryan Tubridy at the helm.
Ryan had a host of special guests including Mícheál Ó Muircheartaigh, Dr Ronan Glynn, Acting Chief Medical Officer, paddle boarders Ellen and Sara, who spoke about their recent ordeal and amazing rescue. Ryan was also joined by "Women in Harmony" who performed a moving rendition of "Dreams". Friday nights on RTE1 at 9.35pm. Conor Moore is a raising-star comedian and golf fanatic. He is hosting a new weekly show on the GOLFPASS channel, called "The Conor Moore Show".
Conor brings his own unique style of comedy to the show which is a hilarious take on pro golf, combined with sketches, celebrity interviews and much more. Doireann Garrihy is back with her second season of "The Doireann Project"
Doireann impersonates some of Ireland's best-know celebs and influencers, including Pippa [O’Connor], Dáithí Ó Sé, Saoirse Ronan and Roz Purcell to name but a few. The show got off to an emotional start with a very special tribute to the members of the Frontline Emergency Security Services who serve the citizens of Ireland on a daily basis. The selection of guests ranged from much loved singer Sinead O’Connor, to Love Island stars Maura Higgins and Greg O’Shea, actress and writer Aisling Bea and singer Lewis Capaldi. Baz Ashmawy’s new show Wingman started on RTE One last Sunday night at 9.30pm.
In each of the 3 episodes, Baz encounters a person with a personal project which they are unsuccessful achieving by themselves. In the first episode Baz meets Jimmy the dairy farmer from Tougher who wants to put on a two-man show about lonely farmers, a subject close to his heart. The play is a huge success with the locals, when Baz steps in to help. Impressionist Conor Moore has just completed a commercial for Bridgestone Golf Balls, with Tiger Woods.
Tiger Woods has a lot of people trying to imitate his golf swing but he hasn't had as much experience with Conor Moore trying to imitate him. Tiger says that the Bridgestone Tour B XS golf ball fits with his unique playing style and could help Conor, too, if he ever decides to drop the imitation game. Tiger also discussed what Conor nailed and what he needs to work on. Impressionist and comedian Conor Moore, brought plenty of laughs to the Ryder Cup last week.
Team captain Thomas Bjorn also showed a ten-minute video of Mullingar man Conor Moore taking off all 12 players in a fake press conference. This proved a big hit with the golfers and they were very happy to have a laugh before the serious stuff got underway in Paris. |
