Legendary radio DJ Dave Fanning has recently partnered with Guinness and Whelan’s  to showcase the best of Irish music talent.

With the luxury of music being taken from us over the past few months, Dave hosted a special two-part series to bring viewers at home the next best thing. The show featured live performances by The Academic, Somebody’s Child, Villagers, Andrea Corr, Soda Blonde, Alex Gough, Sorcha Richardson, Mick Flannery and Isaac Butler, a mixture of established and up and coming artists.

We hope to see more of these live shows over the coming months.

Dermot Whelan, Today FM won gold for "General Music Programme", and for "Music Presenter of the Year".  Doireann Garrihy RTE Breakfast show won gold for the "Best Breakfast Programme" and Dr Ciara Kelly, Newstalk, won best "Speech Broadcaster".

In week 9 of the fabulous show "Dancing with the Stars", Lottie Ryan with her dancing partner Pasquale La Rocca have been voted through to the quarter finals. 

​In a bit to impress the judges the stars were tasked with their usual solo dances and they also had to hear to Team Dance, it was certainly a night of entertaining performances.

Some of NK Management's  best known faces, including Ryan Tubridy, Doireann Garrihy, Kathryn Thomas, Claire Byrne, Caitriona Perry, Anna Geary, Dermot Bannon and Joanne Cantwell joined RTÉ Director-General Dee Forbes in Montrose recently to celebrate the launch of the new schedule for Autumn 2018.

RTÉ announces a brand new slate of first rate home-produced comedy, drama, documentary and lifestyle programming as it launches its Autumn and New Year schedule, offering a strong line-up of home-grown drama from Taken Down to The Resistance, new and returning comedy Podge and Rodge now staring Doireann Garrihy, and another Late Late Show special with Ryan Tubridy broadcasting from London.

Legendary radio DJ Dave Fanning has recently teamed up with Sirius XM, an American broadcasting company that provides satellite radio and online radio services.

​The online radio service has provided delighted listeners with a limited run of all of U2’s music, live performances, rare tracks and indeed stories from the band titled ‘The U2 Experience’. Fanning, who’s very first session in RTÉ 2FM was with a very young U2 and who’s friendship continues to this day has provided Sirius XM with a number of extraordinary interviews he has conducted with the band throughout the years. This provides listener’s a rare opportunity to delve into the archive and enjoy a little bit of music history.
