One of Ireland’s most loved Models and an experienced multitasker, Yvonne Connolly is a Domestic Engineer, TV Broadcaster and Cook and Columnist.
Yvonne is an avid cook and often cooks and bakes at home with her children. Her first public appearance into the world of TV cooking was when she appeared as a contestant on Celebrity Masterchef Ireland on RTÉ Two. Yvonne battled it out to the semi-final and impressed the judges with her dishes including the fillet of lamb with pine nuts and Bloody Mary caviar and also her delicious sticky toffee pudding. Following this, Yvonne presented her own cooking slots on ITV This Morning during the summer 2013 with presenters Ruth and Eamonn Holmes. She has also been a regular on Virgin Media One’s The Six O’clock Show where she shares some great recipes. Yvonne also previously guest presented The Six O’clock Show.
Separate to this but also on TV, Yvonne featured in The Family Project on RTÉ. As a mentor on the series, Yvonne visited a family in Kilkenny to see the challenges they faced. She worked on a project that motivated them to make changes for the better.
Additionally, Yvonne appeared alongside Elle McPherson in Britain and Ireland's Next Top Model on Sky Living. The British reality television show followed a number of women who competed for the title of Britain's Next Top Model and a chance to start a career in the modelling industry.
Yvonne previously wrote a monthly column in RSVP Magazine where she shared cooking and lifestyle tips and advice.
In her earlier career, after being spotted by a modelling agent, she became one of the most successful Models in Ireland gracing the cover of almost every Irish publication with the most versatile look in the industry at the time. Yvonne appeared in over ten TV commercials in the UK and Ireland including Coca Cola, Superquinn, Bank of Ireland and the National Lottery. She was personally asked to work on test commercials for Chanel and Calvin Klein by Hollywood director John Moore.
