Zeinab Elguzouli is a dynamic Irish-Sudanese media personality and singer-songwriter, born and raised in Dublin. She is currently one of the three hosts of FM104's iconic Strawberry Alarm Clock breakfast show and a frequent presenter on Virgin Media One’s Six O’Clock Show. Zeinab was awarded The Gay Byrne Award for Newcomer of the Year in 2024. With a soulful passion for music and a vibrant presence on screen, Zeinab seamlessly balances her dual career in broadcasting and music.
Zeinab's love for music emerged early in her life, as she began writing songs in primary school and took up piano at the age of six. Her musical journey progressed through years of classical piano training and participation in school musicals. This passion led her to London, where she studied Musical Theatre at the prestigious London College of Music, earning a diploma and honing her skills in acting, accent work, stage combat, singing, and dancing.
Her talent earned her recognition from Hot Press magazine, which named her one of their "Hot for 2022" artists, and she even took over their Instagram to perform a live gig from her living room.
Zeinab's performances are captivating, combining charisma with soulful authenticity, and she brings the same energy to her work in broadcasting. Starting as a music and TV review contributor on The Six O’Clock Show, she quickly became a regular presenter, charming audiences with her friendly and bubbly personality.
Her radio career began in 2014, when she completed a training course with Christmas FM, leading to four years of seasonal work with the station. In early 2023, Zeinab took a leap of faith and emailed FM104. A year later, she is now a beloved co-host on the Strawberry Alarm Clock, officially joining the team in November 2023 alongside Jim-Jim and Crossy.
