Mark Mehigan is a comedian, author, podcast host and… viral matchmaker. Best known for his podcast, born out of his hilarious Instagram Q&A's, “The Weekly Roast” was created in association with Go Loud. Each week a new subject is explored and roasted, from public transport to annoying co-workers, leaving no aspect of Irish culture left untouched. Mark Mehigan steers the ship with his trademark blend of acerbic wit and laugh out loud reactions to the contributions of his callers, that come in from adults of all ages across Ireland. The podcast claimed the top spot in the Ireland charts.
Following its release in March 2024, Mark’s debut book, “This is Not a Self Help Book”, went straight to the top of the non-fiction charts as the #1 Bestseller in Ireland, and held this position for weeks on end. Mark was the cover of the Irish Times Weekend Magazine accompanied by an interview with Roisin Ingle, and a viral clip of Mark discussing the book on the Brendan O'Connor show on RTÉ Radio 1 has surpassed one million views.
In February 2024, Mark was appointed as the resident Agony Uncle for Image.ie. The column is hugely popular, grasping Image readers attention as he fields questions from those who seek advice on matters of the heart.
Originally from Dublin, Mark spent his twenties working in the UK. Whether it was writing songs for Mark Feehily from Westlife, or working in BBC Comedy, he covered quite a bit of ground. After returning to Dublin for the duration of the pandemic, Mark took his original podcast “The Sunday Roast” to the stage in 2022, selling out his three debut shows The Sugar Club in Dublin within five minutes, and also The Chelsea Theatre in London. Following the success of these shows, Mark then went on to perform a number of Christmas specials, selling out ten shows in under ten minutes during Christmas of 2022.
Mark has openly spoken about his journey to sobriety and has built an incredible community of loyal followers and engaged listeners who thoroughly enjoy his ability to talk humorously about some of life’s greatest challenges.
Due to Mark’s audience touching all corners of the country, he has most recently been working on exciting campaigns for brands such as Sky, Cadbury, Brown Thomas and Lidl. Most recently, Mark travelled the length and breadth of Ireland recording a matchmaking series for Google to promote the launch of Google Gemini.
