Sinéad Desmond is an Irish television presenter with TV3. She presents TV3's breakfast show Ireland AM which is Ireland's only breakfast television programme and is broadcast live every weekday morning by TV3 and 3e from 7am- 10am. Like most other breakfast television shows, it blends a mixture of news every thirty minutes, interviews and features topics such as consumer affairs, health, politics, gardening, education, finance, food and fashion into a three hour format.
Previous to this she worked worked as journalist in both the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland, writing for publications including the monthly food magazine for The Observer Newspaper, Marie Claire and Vogue Magazines in the UK; and The Sun in both the UK and Ireland as features and deputy features editor respectively.
She is a fluent speaker in French,German and Italian and also holds a BA Hons in English and Drama and studied Film and Television at Leeds University.
Sinéad gives a huge amount of her free time and is involved with many charities. She has worked with the Irish Heart Foundation, NBCRI & CONSOLE, Crumlin Children's Hospital and The National Bullying Campaign to name but a few. Alongside her broadcasting career, she hosts various events from launches to awards ceremonies and is popular as a professional Master of Ceremonies. Some recent events include The Forecourt Awards and the Killarney Races.
