Craig Doyle was born in Dublin in December 1970. He went to St Patrick’ College where he studied sociology and history, he then went on to do postgraduate studies at the London College of Printing earning him a diploma in Broadcast Journalism. During this time he became a staff reporter producer with BBC Local Radio, working his way up as a news and sport presenter on BBC Radio Suffolk.

In 1995 he presented both Disney Club a children’s magazine show with guests and Disney Road Hog a show filmed in a different location every week.
He spent three years as a presenter on “Tomorrow’s World” the BBC1 TV Science programme at this time also doing many appearances as Guest Interviewer on BBC Radio 4’s “Midweek”. Contributing alsoto “Holiday”, “Summer Holiday”, “Fasten Your Seatbelts”, “Holidays Out” and “Shoestring”.
From 2000 Sport featured largely in Craig’s career appearing as guest presenter on “Football Focus” and “Wimbledon 2000”, BBC Sports presenter on “British Superbikes”, reporter at the FA Cup and anchor of “Six Nations Rugby”, “Horse Racing” and “Golf”.
Along with this hectic schedule Craig also appeared as guest presenter on “BBC Radio 5 Live” and “BBC Music Live”. From 2004 to the present Craig has presented his own show “The Craig Doyle Show,” an Irish travel celebrity program. He was also the main presenter on Sunday Grandstand on BBC2, presenter of “The World’s Worst Weather” – ITV1, BBC presenter – reporter on Rugby/Golf/Triathlon and host of the Saturday Morning Show on Capital Radio.
Craig’s distinct presentation style led to a move from the BBC to ITV in 2008. He is the main rugby anchor in ITV Sport, as well as covering their main Tennis and Motor racing events. He is also the travel expert on ITV's This Morning. In 2011, Craig presented the RNLI series ‘Mayday Mayday’. The series followed the volunteers of the RNLI as they take part in real life rescues up and down the British coastline.
In 2010 Craig presented ‘Tonight with Craig Doyle’ on RTE 1, a Saturday night show with an array of A- List guests every week. Craig then went on to take the infamous anchor seat on The Panel on RTE 1.
Craig is currently presenting ‘Craig Doyle Live’ on RTE 2, a late night chat show, going live to the nation every Tuesday and Thursday. Craig will interview guests from the world of entertainment, music and sport in his inimitable style, with comedians and well-known personalities also on hand for a bit of banter and an irreverent look at the events of the day.
