Rodolfo Bastida is widely regarded as one of the top winemakers and leading authorities on Spanish wine (officially). At 31 years old he was put in charge of Bodegas Ramon Bilbao by their owners since 1999 Diego Zamora who are a leading Spanish beverage group, he is also the Technical Director for the group which has wineries in Ribera del Duero, Rioja, Rias Biaxas and La Mancha.

His wine Cruz de Alba that he has been working on in his R d Duero project for the last 6 years has received Gold in IWC and best in class. Plus on top 100 new wave Spanish Wines list.

His wine Mirto (top one from Ramon Bilbao) – IWC Gold trophy and best red, Robert Parker 93 points plus other awards in different years.
