Not everyone is lucky enough to be at home enjoying Christmas Day. Some children spent Christmas in Crumlin Hospital having treatment. Ryan Tubridy went to visit some of these children in hospital before Christmas to have a chat and also to create awareness for the Crumlin Medical Research Foundation who help provide funding for the critical care given to over 120,000 sick children in Crumlin Hospital ever year. According to CMRF, one in 100 children in Ireland are born with a structural heart defect, and one in 19 people in Ireland carry the Cystic Fibrosis gene.
