A fantastic day was had by all at the Chernobyl Children International Lunch in Fire restaurant in the Mansion House recently.
The annual fundraiser was hosted by board members Noel Kelly and Liz O'Donnell.
This event plays a major role in helping to save the lives of hundreds of children born with genetic heart defects in Eastern Ukraine. Founder and tireless campaigner Adi Roche said many of the children who were born in the region, with congenital heart defects such as a condition called ‘Chernobyl Heart’ won’t live beyond their sixth birthdays without life-saving open heart surgeries which is made possible by the proceeds of the Chernobyl Lunch and the support of Irish people who donate so generously, their money and their time.
