Maia Dunphy
Maia Dunphy is a Writer and Broadcaster who stepped in front of the camera after over a decade writing and producing behind it.  Maia has worked on many RTÉ comedy shows including The Podge & Rodge Show, Katherine Lynch's Wagon's Den as well as the IFTA winning Bronx Bunny Show. She has also worked with Dustin the Turkey and Zig and Zag.

Her first venture on screen was From Boom to Maternity which she wrote and hosted for RTÉ as part of the Reality Bites Series. Her second documentary Merlot & Me, about the rise of women drinking at home, aired on RTÉ in January 2013. The critically acclaimed documentary was the highest rating Reality Bites series that year.

Following the success of her first two documentaries, Maia went on to make the four part series Maia Dunphy's What Women Want airing on RTÉ in 2013. Each episode covered an aspect of modern life or society affecting women, from the pressures to stay looking young to 21st century relationships and the importance of female sexuality. The ratings and success of the first series saw a second series quickly re-commissioned and in Autumn 2014, Maia looked at food fads, the psychology of shopping, perceptions of beauty and the ongoing cult of celebrity.
Her latest TV series, Maia Dunphy’s Truth About aired on RTÉ in their Autumn 2015 schedule. To coincide with the birth of her son, Tom Laurence in the same year, Maia revealed the truth about childbirth and what women really go through.
