A self-confessed fashion addict, Jodi has loved everything fashion related since she was just three years old. While growing up she spent almost every Saturday in her Dad’s East London market selling leather on their stalls. Her mother dressed her up in leather short sets, parker, trench and sheepskin coats along with every other on trend 80's must haves that her dad could make in his Shoreditch East London leather factory, even pairing frilly socks and kicker boots to match her earliest style icons. Her Mum also taught her how to ‘mix & match’ outfits and since then she created an early desire for fashion and trading so opening her own boutique Jodi’s Boutique was a very natural step in her career. She recently joined one of Ireland’s fashion and lifestyle shows, Xposé on TV3 to guest present a number of shows.
As lady of many talents, Jodi has had a successful career as dancer, singer and actress. Her first stage debut was at just ten years old as Cosette in Les Miserable in London’s West End. After this she began her career in the TV world with various commercials and short films until she landed her first record deal and got signed by Simon Cowell with her band Girl Thing when she was fifteen.
At just seventeen she became a professional commercial dancer working on music videos and TV shows. This then led her to reignite her love of acting and landed the part of Debbie Dean in Hollyoaks on Channel 4. In 2005, she received the British Soap Award for Sexiest Female. After leaving Hollyoaks, Jodi played the lead part of Hayley in Channel 5 comedy sitcom Respectable. Staying with acting, she also worked with the BBC on a few of their shows including The Inspector Lynley Mysteries and Casualty.
At twenty five, Jodi secured her second record deal and signed with Universal Music in Irish/English girl band Wonderland. With the band Jodi got a top ten album and toured around the UK and Ireland for four years. In 2011, after Jodi welcomed her first child, she reunited with her first girl band Girl Thing for ITV’s The Big Reunion alongside Eternal, 5th Story and Damage.
Since moving to Ireland, Jodi has welcomed her second child with husband Kian Egan and has continued pursuing her passion for fashion by opening her own boutique Jodi’s Boutique in Sligo. It’s fair to say that Jodi’s love of fashion has flourished over the years. She has a grounded approach to fashion and understands what women want and need whether it's dressing their in security's or creating their catwalk moments of life.
