In St Patrick’ College he studied sociology and history, he then went on to do postgraduate studies at the London College of Printing earning him a diploma in Broadcast Journalism.

Starting his career in 1988 on Century Radio, Craig worked his way up as a news presenter/producer on BBC Radio Suffolk. In 1995 he presented both Disney Club a children’s magazine show with guests and Disney Road Hog a show filmed in a different location every week.
A contributor to “Tomorrow’s World”, the BBC1 TV Science programme, at this time also doing many appearances as Guest Interviewer on BBC Radio 4’s “Midweek”.
He also contributor to “Holiday”, “Summer Holiday”, “Fasten Your Seatbelts”, “Holidays Out”, and “Shoestring”.From the year 2000, Sport featured largely in Craig’s career. He appeared as guest presenter on “Football Focus”, “Wimbledon 2000”, BBC Sports presenter on “British Superbikes”, reporter FA Cup, “Six Nations Rugby”, “Horse Racing” and “Golf”.
Along with this hectic schedule Craig also appeared as guest presenter on “BBC Radio 5 Live” and “BBC Music Live”From 2004 to the present Craig has presented his own show “The Craig Doyle Show,” an Irish travel/ celebrity program, been the main presenter on Sunday Grandstand on BBC2, presenter “The World’s Worst Weather – ITV1, BBC presenter – reporter on Rugby/Golf/Triathlon and host of the Saturday Morning Show on Capital Radio.
Craig’s distinct presentation style has led to a move from the BBC to ITV in 2008 as a presenter for ITV Sport - a new challenge for Craig.
