Lorraine Keane was TV3’s entertainment correspondent joining News Anchors Alan Cantwell and Claire Byrne, Weatherman Martin King and Sports Presenter Trevor Welch as the front line team for TV3 News. If was hot in the world of showbiz and fashion Lorrraine was there on behalf of TV3 viewers.
Lorraine reported from the most exclusive backstage parties, movie premieres, rock concerts, festivals and fashion shows and interviewed the biggest and brightest stars.
Lorraine recently finished as the leading presenter for Ireland’s most popular entertainment show, Xposé, who have run a competition as to who will get her coveted role on the show.
In March 2009, Lorraine was crowned VIP’s Most Stylish Female of the year at the Peter Mark VIP Style Awards!
Lorraine is from Dublin and joined the TV3 News team from her position as Manager of AA Roadwatch, where she had worked for the previous seven years, broadcasting live on Radio 1 and 2FM every day.
During that time Lorraine also presented various independent productions for RTE, including Live at 3, Start Me Up, Drive and RPM Motorsport, among others.
Lorraine studied Broadcasting and Journalism at Ballyfermot Senior College and holds a City & Guilds in Public Administration and Current Affairs and H Dip in Public Relations from The Public Relations Institute of Ireland.
She has also written columns for VIP magazine, Ireland on Sunday and The Star on Sunday newspapers. As an experienced “Master of Ceremonies” she is a regular host of high profile events/awards ceremonies across the country.
These have included Introducing Prince Charles on his first visit to Dublin and Welcoming President Bill Clinton, during his term in office, at an Irish-American Ceremony in New York.
Lorraine also acts as a judge at the annual Ladies Day Race Meetings at the Dublin Horseshow and in Galway. Lorraine is married to Rock musician Peter Devlin and lives in Dublin with her daughters Emilia and Romy.
