Leigh Arnold - Actress


Leigh Arnold is one of Irelands most well known and popular young stars. A native of Foxrock Co Dublin her passion for fashion, people, performance and dance was obvious from a very young age. As a child in St Andrews College, Leigh won many awards for competitions in theatre and hence her ambition and determination to act was apparent.


After completing a degree in Psychology and Psychoanalysis from LSB College Dublin, Leigh spent time working as a stylist with renowned Irish Fashion designer Helen Cody.

Her acting journey began in 2001 when she was accepted to the prestigious American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York where she counts such legends as Robert Redford, Grace Kelly, Danny De Vito and Richard Gere as fellow Alumni.

Leigh trained and resided in New York for four years treading the boards of some of the most well known theatres the city.


Almost as soon as she completed her training at AADA Leigh landed the role of Dr Clodagh Delaney on the hit Irish TV series The Clinic, a role for which she is best known.

Her hard work and talent was recognised by the industry in 2007 when she was nominated for Best Supporting Actress at the Irish Film and Television Awards.

Leigh’s theatre experience in Ireland includes Gerry Stenbridges "The Grown Up's" at the Peacock Theatre and playing Helen of Troy in last year’s Trojan Women directed by Michael Scott. Leigh combines her acting work with charity work and spent time in South Africa with the Niall Mellon Foundation rebuilding the Townships outside Cape Town.


Last year she hosted a rock concert for the foundation with whom she continues to work vigorously. She is currently in training for the Flora Women’s Mini Marathon and running on behalf of Childline with whom she actively campaigns. This year Leigh was nominated as one of the Most Stylish Women in Ireland at the VIP Style Awards.
