John McGuire is a property Investor, Managing Director of First Credit Mortgages and presenter of RTE2’s 'I'm An Adult, Get Me Out Of Here'. John is considered to be one of the Celtic Tiger's success stories, and he has featured twice on the front cover of Irish Entrepreneur magazine (September 2007, and Juy2008).
John bought his first property in Bray for £80,000 and that at the time most of his friends thought he was mad. He managed to prove them wrong and went on to buy a site in Sandycove where he built his own house and, from there, proceeded to develop a large property portfolio.
Upon returning from a career break in Australia, John decided to sell the first property he bought and used the funds to set up his own mortgage company, First Credit. He was 29 at the time. First Credit has now advised tens of thousands of customers (most of whom are first time buyers) on how to get on to the Property ladder.
John is managing Director of www.firstcredit.ie, a professional property investor, managing director of www.remortgageplus.ie, a Director of and Charman of www.pembrokeinsurances.ie and www.quotedevil.ie.
ohn got his first taste of television when an article on him in the Irish times was spotted by Independent Pictures Production Company in 2006. They subsequently asked him to host “I’m An Adult, Get Me Out Of Here”.
Having never before worked in television, John proved himself to be a natural onscreen talent, and the show was subsequently re-commissioned for a second series.
His other TV work includes being a guest presenter on No Frontiers and appearances on Tubridy Tonight The Restaurant & others. John is also currently taking part in a new show with RTE entertainment which will be aired in the new year.
John has also guest presented on East Coast Radio and most recently took part in the Gerry Ryan 2FM Alfa Romeo Challenge which allowed him to indulge in one of his passions, cars.
