Glenda Gilson attended Ballyfermot Senior College, where she studied a one year Print and Media Journalism course and then continued on to study a two year T.V. and Radio Broadcasting. Glenda then left to pursue her modelling career, which took off at an extremely rapid pace. Glenda was then asked to represent Ireland and England for Miss Hawaiian Tropic in Oahu, Hawaii 2002.
She stayed for one week in a hotel on the island and went on to win the title for Europe. While there she met Bruce Willis and many other actors who were there filming a new movie at the time.
Glenda Gilson has been modelling from a young age to become one of Ireland’s best known models. She has modelled alongside Naomi Campbell, Tyra Banks, Helena Christianson in numerous fashion shows.
Glenda has fronted many campaigns appearing in Marie Claire as the face of Hawaian Tropic to most recently fronting the Rehab Bingo campaign, which is currently on line. In August 2006 – she became the face of Sky Digital channel Bubble Hits.
This year she has decided to run the Ladies Mini Marathon to raise much needed funds for the Marie Keating Foundation. Glenda has recently joined Tv3's Xpose girls and presents/reports on the show alongside her other four co-presenters. The programme goes out daily on Tv3.
