
Doireann Garrihy is a Radio and TV Broadcaster. She launched her pilot show The Doireann Project on the RTÉ Player and season two of The Doireann Project was aired on both RTÉ Two and the RTÉ Player. Doireann also hosted The Podge and Rodge Show on RTÉ Two where the doors of Ballydung Manor have truly been open once again!
Doireann kicked off her radio career with AA Roadwatch, reporting on both Breakfast Republic and The Eoghan McDermott Show on RTÉ 2FM. It wasn’t long before she had shown her broadcasting potential and within a year, she progressed to a full-time position in Spin 1038 as their Entertainment Reporter in May 2016. In May 2017, she joined the Zoo Crew on Spin 1038. The show was a huge hit with listeners. Doireann has also featured on The Last Word with Matt Cooper on Today FM, discussing the trending news stories of the week. Doireann regularly takes to the hotseat on Today FM covering for Alison Curtis Weekend Breakfast.

In 2017 Doireann was awarded with the Most Stylish Online Influencer Award at the Peter Mark VIP Style Awards, Best Snapchat Star at the Gossies as well as U Magazine’s 30 under 30 Rising Star Award. In 2018, The Zoo Crew with Martin and Doireann on Spin 1038 won Best Radio Show at the Gossies. Thanks to her warm personality, sharp wit and her ability to make people laugh, Doireann spoke at Zeminar 2017 MC's a number of BEO events, a health and wellness event taking place in various locations across the country. Doireann has MC'd the Sky Shine Awards. She also took part in the Westport Sea to Summit Adventure Race in aid of the Make a Wish charity and MC’d the X Hale Youth Awards for the Irish Cancer Society. Doireann is an avid support of the Saint Vincent de Paul.
Doireann graduated from Trinity College with a degree in Drama and Theatre Studies. From there, she enrolled in a Radio Production course with the Today FM School of Radio where she was bitten by the broadcasting bug! Doireann also runs a School of Speech & Drama in Castleknock in Dublin with her sister Ailbhe, teaching 60 children per week.
